Experienced, Personalized Dog Boarding with Dedicated Care

With over 40 years of hands-on experience working with dogs, our approach to boarding is grounded in knowledge, patience, and respect for each dog’s individual needs. As a professional groomer, trainer, and former breeder, we understand canine behavior, stress signals, and how to create routines that help dogs feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while away from home.

Country Tails Dog Boarding is a small, private kennel facility located in Dickson County, Tennessee. We intentionally limit boarding to no more than four dogs at a time, allowing for close supervision, individualized attention, and a calm environment that larger boarding facilities simply can’t provide.

Each dog has access to a spacious, climate-controlled indoor room with heating and air conditioning, along with a secure outdoor run. Dogs also receive scheduled breaks in an enclosed lawn-style yard for fresh air and movement, supporting both physical comfort and emotional well-being throughout their stay.

We are a family-owned operation, and dogs are never left unattended. Having experienced caregivers on-site at all times ensures consistency, safety, and attentive care, providing peace of mind for pet owners and a stable routine for every dog in our care.

Because we maintain a limited-capacity boarding environment, we carefully review all boarding requests to ensure a safe and positive experience for each dog. Adult dogs who have never been away from home or boarded before may be required to complete a trial overnight stay to assess comfort levels, separation anxiety, and overall suitability for boarding.

Our extensive background allows us to confidently care for senior dogs and those with special needs. Extra attention, patience, and routine adjustments are provided as needed to ensure comfort, safety, and a positive boarding experience for every guest.
